According to a family statement, the former Miss Nigeria who happens to be the younger sister to Nollywood actor, Hank Anuku, has been battling cancer for sometime until she was cheated by death.
Rita happens to be the first cousin of Honourable David Anuku, former commissioner of Special Duties in Delta State. She is survived by 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy.
At the time she was crown Miss Nigeria, Rita was just 18 years of age and as at then just completed her Secondary school.
