The Nigerian comedy industry is arguably one
industry has helped in creating employment for some talented youths in
the country as they are almost seen everywhere doing the standup comedy
and
various skits.
The craft is not just for men alone as few
women have also found wealth in the sector which is majorly dominated by
men and one of such personality is actress, Helen Paul.
In an
interview with Channels TV, monitored by Nigeriafilms.com the actress
and comedian while discussing about the challenges they as females go
through stated that they cannot keep late nights at events like the men.
She
explained that as a comedian, there are limits to things she can do and
hours she can spend outside because she needs to rush home to care for
the family.
“Female comedians face challenges like, we can’t stay
late outside like the male comedians, we can’t go clubbing, there are
limit to things we can do as females and others. The truth is we can’t
just stay long at what we do outside compared to the men,” she said.
