Let today be a reminder that in whatever capacity you serve people, whether volunteering or working
for someone, it’s not about doing it because they need you or being there because you need the finance, we ought to see the bigger picture. As children of God our very presence can change any atmosphere, so deeper than the work our focus should be about the purpose of God in that place.
God could use your character, for example, to speak to people; through your excellence, how you love, your patience. Let us serve with our hearts invested, knowing that wherever we are is an opportunity for God to be glorified.
I pray we always seek God’s purpose in the places we invest time in, beyond the surface rewards of thank you or a payment, but we serve wholeheartedly, knowing that our service is unto the Lord.
